MJ's life story - the short version.
Originally from Saugerties, in New York’s Hudson Valley, I relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia in 2003 after completing my Bachelor’s degree. My professional background includes twelve years of extensive marketing experience which began at a leading Charlottesville real estate firm. In September 2010 I moved to the hospitality industry upon accepting a position at Boar’s Head, a 573 acre full-service resort. As Creative and Digital Marketing Manager, I focused on a unique blend of design, social media, analytics and marketing strategy.
In June 2015 I took the proverbial leap to pursue marketing consultancy full-time. This phenomenal opportunity has allowed me to work with a variety of clients to realize and accomplish their marketing goals.
I am an eleven-year member of the American Marketing Association and a past President of the Central Virginia chapter. Having recently completed a two-year term as Programming Chair, I enjoy event planning while connecting regional and national marketing professionals with our local membership and guests.
I describe myself as a self-starter, driven and passionate. My best qualities include strong listening skills and I believe I am a natural mediator. My clients and colleagues describe me as professional, creative and flexible.
This journey is rooted in family and my strong belief in work-life balance. I am a wife, daughter, aunt, friend, and most importantly, "mommy" to three little people. I am fortunate and thankful to have a career opportunity which allows me the latitude to be my best self - for my clients and my family.
